QUINCY, ILL. -- A four-year-old girl was hit by a car near 6th Street in Quincy Wednesday night.

The Quincy Police Department says a car was headed north on 6th Street approaching Madison, when the girl ran into the street.

The accident happened shortly after 6 p.m.

The girl was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was not ticketed.
