QUINCY, ILL. -- Job seekers had a chance to meet dozens of Tri-State employers Saturday afternoon. John Wood Community College held its annual job fair at its Workforce Development Center in Quincy.
More than a hundred people came resume ready and were given the chance to talk skills with more than 20 employers and job agencies.
Staff from John Wood were also on hand for people looking for educational opportunities. From healthcare to transportation to restaurant management and manufacturing, job seekers could find a variety of options.
"There aren't a lot of opportunities for people to identify what is available, where the demand is, other than the newspaper. So a career fair, like John Wood's, really gives people the opportunity to see what's in demand, to see if they need to get another skill set, if they need to diversify, and to identify what's available to them in our region," said Terry Jenkins with JWCC's Workforce Education.
If you couldn't make it out Saturday, you can visit John Wood's website and fill out a Jobseeker Application Form.
