Brett Kroeger will serve 11 years in federal prison for distribution of methamphetamine.
SPRINGFIELD, ILL. -- U.S. District Judge Richard Mills sentenced Brett Kroeger, 28, of Quincy, Ill., to serve 11 years in federal prison for distribution of methamphetamine in August 2010.
Kroeger was also ordered to remain on supervised release for six years following completion of his prison term. Back in February, Brett Kroeger entered a plea of guilty to one count of distribution of methamphetamine in Quincy.
In a separate case, Brett's brother, Anthony Kroeger, 24, pled guilty to distribution of methamphetamine in Quincy, and conspiracy to manufacture five or more grams of methamphetamine.
Anthony Kroeger's sentencing is scheduled for June 24. Both men have remained in law enforcement custody since their arrests in January 2011.
The charges were investigated by the Central Illinois Enforcement Group; the Quincy Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration in cooperation with the Adams County State's Attorney's Office. The cases are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory M. Gilmore.
