QUINCY, ILL -- For the past 10 years the judges of Adams County established an award in memory of Samatha Otte who passed way after a liver transplant, she had Cystic Fibrosis.

It's the Sam Award that honors and recognizes foster families that continue to changes the lives of children.

For 22 years Ron and Doris Durk have been foster parents for more then 150 teenagers.

While raising a family of their own the Durks felt God moving them in a new direction.

Through a television program wanting families to foster kids, the Durks knew what their next step in life would be.

The Durk's are not sure how much longer they will be foster parents but they continue to have the support of their family and friends.
