36 Million pounds of ground turkey is coming off shelves across the country.

Cargill issued the recall after one person in California died and at least 76 people across the country got sick from salmonella poisoning.

Seven of those cases were reported in Illinois as close as Peoria.

The meat was all processed at a plant in Springdale, Arkansas.

Products affected are dated February 20th to August 2nd and contain a package code ... P-963.

They were sold under several different brand names including:  Honeysuckle White, Shady Brook Farms, Safeway and Kroger

If you have any of this meat, return it to the store that you purchased it from for a refund.

Cargill is the third largest turkey processor in the country.

This is considered to be one of the largest recalls in American history.
