QUINCY, IL. -- Every kid likes to start the school year off on a good note, and that may include having the right supplies.

This bus is parked in front of the Quincy Wal-Mart and the goal is to stuff the bus with school supplies.

Wal-Mart, Refreshment Service Pepsi, and KHQA are teaming up to ask you to help collect school supplies for kids who can't afford them.

Last year, more than three thousand items were donated and given to kids in Quincy.

David Day with the Quincy Wal-Mart says, "We want them to come out to Wal-Mart, but extra school supplies while they are here getting things for their children. Buy a few extra notebooks or pens. Then we have two containers, one at each entrance. Put the extra items in those and the kids in the community will have the supplies."

You can donate items to the Stuff the Bus campaign until August 15th.
