Safe Kids Adams County received a nice sum of money Saturday.

Kohls's Cares donated more than $23,000 to the program.

This money will be used to buy 19 hundred bike helmets, forty-one car seats, 2 thousand dollars worth of incentives, and a new child safety commercial.

Safe Kids Adams County Coordinator Jan Hummel says this money benefits everyone in the community, especially the kids.

"They're going to be the ones who are getting the bike helmets and hopefully starting a life long venture of wearing the bike helmets. The kids are going to be in the car seats and of course their parents and other care givers like grandparents, aunts and uncles, who are going to be educated through all of this," says Hummel.

With this donation, Kohl's Cares has donated $103,000 to Safe Kids Adams County in the past six years.
