KEOKUK, IA. -- Keokuk fire crews contained a structure fire at 715 Johnson Street.  The fire began just after 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Crews were on scene for a few hours.

The vacant building had been demolished several weeks ago after strong winds crippled the structure.

Early reports speculate the fire began after the building's clean up crew spent the night cutting down steel with blow torches. There were no reports of injuries.
