QUINCY, ILL. -- Camp Point, Ill. could be getting an after school program thanks to the YMCA.

The After School Care would be for this coming school year and will start after Labor Day.

Camp Point just needs at least 15 kids to begin the program to get it started.

It will be held at Camp Point Elementary from 3 to 6 p.m.

The Y conducted a survey and found a great need for the program in that location.

"We find that in most small communities like this there are few after school programs the full time baby sitter will only take full time.  They are wanting an after school program for parent that really need it for and hour or hour in a half."

You can register your child through the Quincy Y.  Part time is 35 dollars and full time is 45 dollars per week.

For more information, call the Y at 217-222-9622.
