Texas fugitive arrested in Pike County, Ill.

PIKE COUNTY, ILL. -- The Pike County Sheriff's Department caught a fugitive from Texas this weekend.

On Sunday, deputies arrested 23-year-old Joseph Phillips from Dallas as he was moving into a home near Pearl, Ill.

He's wanted by Texas police for theft.

But he also faces legal problems now in Pike County since deputies found meth and drug paraphernalia at the home.

Phillips remains in the Pike County Jail pending appearance and extradition to Texas.
