Macomb school district reaches agreement with teachers' union

MACOMB, ILL. -- The Macomb school district and its teachers' union have reached a new two-year teachers' contract for the next two years.

It provides a salary increase for certified staff of 2 percent of the base salary plus step where applicable for the current school year.

The agreement also provides a 2.5 percent of the base salary plus step increase where applicable for the 2013 school year.

n addition, individuals electing single health insurance with the District will pay $15/$25 per month respectively of their monthly premium.

The Macomb Board of Education will support the remainder of single premium costs.

Employees electing family health insurance coverage will pay 50 percent and the Board will pay the remainder of premium costs.
