Fort Madison Daily Democrat reports that numbers were not official for the Keokuk School Board.

Although it originally appeared that Lindner won a seat on the Keokuk School Board, there was an error in tabulating the unofficial results of the election, which led to incorrect information being released via the county auditor's website.

As of Friday morning, the votes were listed as follows:

Mark Pfaffe 475 votes X

Michael Beaird 422 votes X

Sandy Stark 383 votes X

John Davis 368 votes X

Barb Carelson 385 votes

Christopher Alan Lindner 317 votes

Garry Seyb 310 votes

Cheri Kelly 169 votes

Lee County Elections Commissioner Anne Pedersen admitted that although the names appear in different order on ballots in each precinct to prevent voter fraud, Beaird said he was told that votes were called in and tallied line by line instead of by name.
