QUINCY, ILL. -- Dogs and their owners from all around the Tri-States gathered in Quincy's South Park Saturday for the 17th annual Quincy Humane Society Mutt Strut.

There were pet contests, games, themed photos, food and virgin margaritas for this year's theme ... Barkaritaville!

Participants in the Mutt Strut Walk gathered pledges to raise funds for the Quincy Humane Society.

KHQA was proud to play a part in the festivities.

Our very own Rajah Maples emceed the event while Landon Mitchell, Lindsey Boetsch and Chad Douglas judged the pet contests.

Not only was it a fun event, but the Quincy Humane Society tells us that they were able to raise $46,000 which is the most money raised in their history of fundraising. Last year's event raised $37,000 and the goal for this year was $40,000, so they were a huge success.

We thought we'd share some of the photos we took, so enjoy and don't forget to share this story on your Facebook page so everyone can see the pet madness!
