Forklift accident kills Montrose man

MONTROSE, IA -- A forklift accident killed a Montrose, Iowa man. John Horner was driving a forklift in the 22-hundred block of White Plains Road in rural Montrose.

Police say Horner crested a steep hill and the forklift rolled backwards into a ditch and tipped over.

According to the police report, Horner was either thrown or jumped from the forklift and was hit, killing him.
