TRI-STATE AREA -- This weekend has all the right weather ingredients for accomplishing all sorts of outdoor projects and chores.
Ladies, this means that lazy husbands can bring the hammock, patio set, pool accessories, and barbeque grill into the shed and/or garage! Start making that list! The newsroom had a good laugh earlier this afternoon when Nora Baldner and I were joking about this.
Laughing aside, this really will be a nice, fall-like weekend – good for general homeowner duties and outdoor recreation alike. Farmers will also benefit from the decent harvesting conditions.
Temperatures on Saturday afternoon should reach into the upper 60s. It’ll be sunny and still breezy with west winds of 10 to 20 miles an hour. Saturday night will stay clear and cool-off to the lower 50s. On Sunday, we should have some of the mildest temperatures that we’ll feel in the entire week ahead – around 70 degrees. Sunday will likely be the “pick day” of the week. The winds will subside by late Sunday, and temperatures will fall to around 50 by early Monday morning.
Enjoy the nice weather! It starts getting more and more difficult to promise mild temperatures and overall nice weather as we get into late October. – If you enjoy raking leaves, my tip would be to do it on Sunday when the wind dies down.
