Roads a bit slippery

TRI-STATE AREA -- Take care while driving. Roads may be somewhat slippery this evening and tonight, and this is not due to chilly temperatures.

An extended period of dry weather has allowed a surplus of materials like oil, dust, and pollen to accumulate on road surfaces. This evening’s rain is enough to loosen and mix with these materials to produce a more hazardous driving environment than what you would typically get from wet pavement.

Tuesday will be dry, and driving conditions will quickly improve.
