KEOKUK, IOWA -- Three Keokuk girls face charges in connection with stealing from a rival football team's locker room last week.

According to the Keokuk Daily Gate City, the 12-year-old, 14-year-old and 15-year-old face third degree burglary charges.

They're being held at the juvenile detention center in Montrose.

Police say the girls are suspected of taking cell phones, iPads, cash and two duffel bags from the Fairfield football team's locker room at last Friday's Home game.

The incident is still under investigation and more charges are pending.

Your point of view
Should the three Keokuk girls under 15 years of age face third degree burglary charges for the crime if convicted?
