KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A traffic crash occurred just after 1:00 Wednesday afternoon and caused a delay on the newly opened Alternate Route 63.

The crash happened at the intersection of Missouri Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 63.

A witness told our sister station KTVO that a pick up truck traveling west on Highway 6 was attempting to cross Alternate Route 63 traveling towards Kirksville when it pulled into the path of an SUV pulling a camper trailer heading north on 63.

The witness stated that the pick up truck had stopped at the stop sign and then attempted to pass through the intersection.

Two Adair County ambulances were sent to the scene.

No names have been released at this time.
