QUINCY, ILL. -- Tri-State residents lined the streets of downtown Quincy Saturday morning to pay tribute to our local heroes.
More than eighty entries lined Maine street with everything from flags and patriotic music to a 53-foot big rig adorned with the names of victims of the 9/11 attacks.
The big rig is part of the Road Scholar Transport based in Pennsylvania, a program that uses several trucks to promote charitable organizations and causes.
Later in the day, many of the same entries continued to pay tribute by taking the parade to the residents of the Illinois Veteran's Home.
This is the fourth year for the local Veterans Day Parade.
