HANNIBAL, MO. -- A settlement may soon be reached in the civil court suit against a local judge.
You'll recall legal secretary Lynn Helbing, who had worked for the 10th Circuit Court for 20 years, is suing Judge Rachel Bringer for wrongful termination.
She alleges Bringer created a hostile work environment for her shortly after Bringer was sworn into office late last year...and then fired her without notice in May.
According to the Hannibal Courier Post, the secretary's attorney says an agreement has been reached, but documents still need to be filed.
