QUINCY, ILL. -- Tis' the season for Christmas shopping, gift wrapping and making wishes come true. That's the theme for this year's Holiday Gift Show at Quincy Senior High School.

This weekend, thanks to the Quincy Service League, hundreds of visitors crammed into the school's hallways to get the best of the area's crafts and holiday recipes.

The show featured 118 booths and dozens of new vendors. From jewelry to handbags and scarves to scented lotions and food, this show's a shopper's delight. Even the vendors couldn't resist shopping around.

"The fun stops are the cooking stores. I don't cook, but it's fun to see all these little things that will help you in the kitchen, and they're clever and fun looking, and then of course the accessories," said Linda Lucke, a vendor at this weekend's show.

The show continues through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gift show's proceeds benefit the service league's grants and scholarship funds each year.
