QUINCY, ILL. --
The Quincy School District plans to offer 6.2 million dollars in cash bonds. But the Quincy Tea Party thinks that decision belongs in the hands of the voters not the school board.
Members of the Tea Party along with Ryan Niekamp have 30 days to collect the signatures needed to put the issue to voters on the March ballot.
The petition drive kicked off Friday, with more than 3,400 signatures needed in 30 days.
This after the School Board approved issuing $6.2 million in working cash bonds last week.
