QUINCY, ILL. -- Blessing Health Systems and Advance Physical Therapy have announced a partnership at their Quincy locations.

Blessing says the partnership will allow hospital staff to focus their efforts on the treatment of in patients and allow Advance staff to treat more people seeing therapy on an out patient basis.

This partnership will only affect the Quincy locations and will begin January 1, 2012.

"I think that this is a great opportunity because I think it's the power of two well respected physical therapy businesses in the community coming together. And I think that our history from both Blessing and Advance is going to make this a very positive and successful service to our community," said Blessing CEO Maureen Kahn.

Kahn says she isn't for sure how the job situation will play out.

She did say that some of the employees from the Blessing Health System side could be offered other opportunities within the hospital system.
