HANNIBAL, MO. -- A follow-up to the story of some "woof top canines" seen on top of a house this week. Click here to read the original story from the Hannibal Courier Post.

Tuesday Hannibal animal control officers recovered the dogs who were perched on the porch roof at 118 Dowling Street after a friend of the family let them in.  Check out the video and more on this story at the Hannibal Courier Post.

The dogs were being taken to the humane shelter, where they were to be placed on "hold."

If the owners do not come after the animals they will eventually be put up for adoption.

But it could be a while before that happens.

The owners are in the Marion County Jail on drug charges.
