CHICAGO, ILL. -- Get ready to see more yellow in Illinois, and it's a color that could save your life.

Here's your Facebook Story of the Day.

The Illinois Department of Transportation is kicking off a program called 'Got the Dot.' You put a yellow dot on your car's back window which alerts emergency personnel to specific medial needs.

Once you get the dot, you fill out a packet that you keep in your glove box that lists any allergies or other important medical information about you.

The first responders know to look in your glove compartment because of the yellow sticker.

You can pick up a packet at your local health department.
