The Hannibal Police Department received information Thursday night that a male subject was attempting to sell prescription medication in the 2900 block of James Rd.

An undercover police officer contacted 49-year-old Donald R. Thomas of Hannibal and purchased several pills of what is believed to be a schedule IV controlled substance.
