Vehicle theft results in juvenile arrest

PALMYRA, MO. -- A Palmyra police officer stopped a 1999 Pontiac Grand AM on Thursday, December 8 as it attempted to flee.

The stop resulted in the arrest of a 15-year-old Quincy juvenile who was driving the car.

The Palmyra Police Department contacted the Quincy Police Department regarding the vehicle.

The investigation revealed that the Grand AM was stolen from Shottenkirk at 1537 N. 24th on Thursday afternoon.

The Palmyra PD released the juvenile to an adult who in turn took the juvenile to the Quincy Police Department.  That juvenile was then lodged in the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center for Theft over $500.
