PIKE COUNTY, MO. -- A Louisiana family is in desperate need of your help after a house fire destroyed everything they had.

Buffalo Township Fire Chief Mitch Alspaw says the fire broke out at the Colbert /Niffen home Sunday just after 3 a.m.

The family of four, including two children lived at the home on Road 286. James Niffen, Kimberly Colbert and their children Keira and Brett Niffen escaped the fire, though James received second and third degree burns on his back and neck. Fire crews say the fire was electrical and that it started in the furnace.

The family is greatly in need of clothes and home supplies. If you can help in anyway, this is a list of clothing sizes:

Boy size 3T-4T and shoe size 6
Girl size 4T-5T and shoe size 7
Mother size 9 pants and Medium shirts and 91/2 shoes
Father 2X to 3X shirts and 36-38 waist pants and 32 length

If any one would like to help, you can get a hold of the fire chief at 573-754-2814 or Jim Rubino at 573-560-8108.
