NOVINGER, MO. -- The Red Cross is helping a Northeast Missouri family who lost their home to a fire.

Our sister station KTVO reports the home owned by Brad Ellsworth of Novinger.

The fire department says Ellsworth was emptying his wood stove when gusts of wind blew and spread the fire to the house.

Ellsworth's wife and three small children also lived there.
