LEE COUNTY, IOWA -- Lee County's elected officials may get a 3.5 percent salary increase in the next fiscal year.

That is if the County's Compensation Board's recommendation is approved by the County Board of Supervisors.

According to the Daily Gate City, the compensation board voted 6-1 to recommend an across the board increase for all elected officials.

If approved by the supervisors, the 3.5 percent increase will cost the county an additional $38 thousand dollars next year.
