Accident happed just before 7pm Tuesday night
KNOX COUNTY, MO. -- UPDATED: January 18 at 2 a.m.
A Northeast Missouri man is dead and two others hurt after a four car crash in Knox County Tuesday night.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by 40-year-old Ira Hoover was stopped on Highway 11, west of Baring trying to make a left turn, when it was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Troy Lawrence of Kirksville.

The crash caused Lawrence's vehicle to cross the center line ... where he crashed head on into a vehicle driven by Joseph Fulk of Memphis, Missouri. Then a car driven by 26-year-old Joseph Shaver of Brashear, Mo. struck Lawrence's vehicle in the side, causing it to go off the roadway.
Lawrence was pronounced dead at the scene by the Knox county coroner.
Fulk and Shaver were also injured, with Fulk air lifted to Columbia for treatment.

A northeast missouri man is dead after a crash in Knox County Tuesday night.
Our sister station KTVO reports the collision happened just before 7pm on Highway 11, 3 1/2 miles west of Baring.
The driver who was killed was pronounced dead at the scene by Knox county coroner Jeff Doss.
An SUV and a minivan were involved in the crash near the intersection of Highway 11 and Knox County Route "J."
One person was taken from the scene to a Columbia hospital by an air evac helicopter.
Another person was taken from the scene by ground ambulance.
Two or three others were treated for minor injuries.
