QUINCY, ILL. -- Some Quincy residents are waking up to no water Friday morning.

City crews responded to a water main break at around two in the morning on 25th Street between Maine and Vermont.

Crews corrected the problem early in the morning, but not before water backed up into St. Peter School down the street.

The school is closed Friday to fix the problems.

Even though water has been restored, there is a 48 hour boil order in effect for homes on 25th Street between Maine and Vermont.

Prentice Avenue is also affected.
