CENTERVILLE, IOWA (AP) -- An Iowa Marine is among six killed in an Afghanistan helicopter crash.
40-year-old Master Sgt. Travis Riddick of Centerville, Iowa died in the crash Thursday in Southern Afghanistan.
His father John Riddick, of Mount Pleasant, says he was notified early Friday of the accident but wasn't told details about the crash.

Master Sgt. Travis Riddick graduated from Centerville High School and joined the Marines in 1990.
Riddick was based in Hawaii and had served three tours of duty in Iraq and two in Afghanistan.
John Riddick says this was supposed to be his son's last tour.
