QUINCY, ILL. --  The Tri-States could be the site of a new cross-country pipeline.

According to the Quincy Herald Whig, the Canadian firm Enbridge Incorporated wants to link oil pipelines in Illinois and Oklahoma.

They plan to do it with a new conduit that follows an existing Enbridge  route that crosses the Mississippi River north of Hannibal and through Adams County.

You can see it on this map.

The $1.9 billion pipeline doesn't cross international borders.  Enbridge's plan doesn't require the Obama administration approval, unlike the Keystone Project.
