QUINCY, ILL -- Those who normally take South 24th Street on their morning commute will want to find a different route.

Monday from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., South 24th will be closed between Payson Avenue and Washington Street.

The road will be closed so that the city can remove an unsafe tree in the area.

Those travelling through this area are asked to drive carefully near the work zone and find a different travel route between those streets.
