Maintaining proper dental care has an affect not only your oral health but on your overall health as well. This is why keeping kids smiling with a healthy mouth is important in Adams County.

This Friday, February 3rd the Adams County Health Department is teaming up with twelve local dentists to hold "Give Kids A Smile."

The free event that provides preventative, restorative and major dental work to underprivileged children ages 5 to 18.  Area dentists, hygienists, assistants and volunteers will offer dental services and supplies to more than 200 area children.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Children who qualify for free services are bused to the Adams County Public Health Department during school hours.

One dentist volunteering for the event, Dr. Curtis Fauble from Advanced Dental Care, said, "Most of the kids are going to be bused down here during the day but we have slots open with dentists available during the 8 a.m. time slot."

If your child might benefit from this event please call 217-779-6471 to schedule an appointment.
