A woman accused of taping her husband's dog fights appeared in an Adams County courtroom Wednesday.

Karen Gardner was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday, but the hearing was postponed until 1:15 p.m. Feb. 15 before Circuit Judge Scott Walden.

Gardner faces charges of felony animal torture, and misdemeanor child endangerment and cruelty to animals.

Gardner and her husband Destin Gardner, 37, were arrested in November and remain in the Adams County Jail on $250,000 bond.

Destin Gardner faces nine felony animal torture charges.

Gardner encouraged his jack russell terrier, Scrappy, to fight, torture and kill several animals, including a raccoon, opossum and snake, according to investigators.
