Park Board "money match" offered to extend Cedar Creek Trail

QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy Park District is putting its money on efforts to bring more trails to Quincy.

According to the Quincy Journal, the Board pledged to put up $500,000 for the Cedar Creek Linear Parkway if The Friends of the Trails organization can match it within five years.

Friends of the Trails is undertaking a private fundraising campaign for construction of an extended section of the trail.
