The Quincy Journal reports that the Quincy Plan Commission has thrown its support behind a request by the Quincy Presbyterian Church to use part of the building at 255 South 36th street.

Church officials say they want to expand their ministry from their current location near 25th and Broadway.

The Plan Commission also supported a request from Peters Body Shop and Towing to add an outside vehicle storage area with site proof fencing.

This approval goes against a previous recommendation against the project by the Planning and Development Staff.

Both of these issues still need to go before the full council on Tuesday for final approval.
