LIBERTY, ILL. -- The Liberty Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapter sponsored a Can Out Activity Day Friday.

Over 1,050 canned food items and non-perishable food items were collected by the students.

Donated cans and other items were stacked up in order to block doorways, leaving teachers and students to participate in Can Out Activities.

Seventy-five percent of the classrooms where Canned Out for the Day and Canned Out teachers supervised the activities provided by FCCLA in the gym.

All chicken noodle soup will be donated to the Liberty’s Got Talent Meal and all other cans will be donated to the Liberty Food Pantry.
