Man arrested for scrap metal theft

MCDONOUGH COUNTY, ILL. -- A Blandinsville man faces theft charges after allegedly stealing scrap metal from a farmer.

The McDonough County Sheriff's office says 38-year-old Larry Hicks, Jr. was arrested after a four-week investigation into metal stolen from a farm northeast of Macomb.

Investigators say he sold the metal at two dealers before he was arrested.
