Staff, family and friends are rallying around a Liberty, Illinois high school teacher recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Brett Miller, 29, is the school's spanish teacher and athletic director. Miller and his immediate family are now in Rochester, Minn., where he is scheduled to undergo surgery at the Mayo Clinic.
The staff held a prayer meeting before school Friday and it is trying to make sure all of the many hats that Miller wore and the jobs he did around the school are covered.

"We consider Liberty a family and it's been amazing how the staff and students have stepped up to pick up the slack with Brett's absence," Runge said.
There is a website where you can send your well wishes to Miller and his family.

It's not known how long Miller will be at the Mayo Clinic or when he'll return home to the Tri-States.
