BOWLING GREEN, MO. -- Bowling Green has a new city administrator.
Mayor Chad Perkins announced that Dan Lang of Lake Saint Louis has been given a three-year contract that will pay him $59,000 annually.
Lang is a former director of community development in Saint Peters and a former city development director in Saint Charles.
He will succeed Xavier Bishop, who was fired last November amid questions over a drop in city reserve funds after just 19 months on the job. Perkins said performance goals have been written into Lang's contract.
The city waived its residency requirement to sign Lang, who will continue to live in Lake Saint Louis.
