Hobbs was convicted of killing Shawn Wright of Kahoka in November of 2012 at an abandoned farm near Argyle.

An autopsy showed that Wright died four blows that he received to the head.

On Friday, the fourth day of the trial, the case took an unexpected turn when Hobbs turned on his ex-girlfriend Kimberly Jaeger and blamed her for the killing.

Tyler Hobbs will be sentenced on March 23rd at 1:30 in the Keokuk courthouse.
