MACOMB, ILL. (AP) -- A 16-year-old girl in western Illinois is in custody after allegedly threatening school officials and other students in an online discussion.
Macomb police Lieutenant Chris Mason says the teen is a student at Macomb High School and was arrested on suspicion of solicitation to commit murder. The girl hasn't been charged and isn't being identified because of her age.
Mason says police learned about the alleged threats Monday night.
He says the alleged threats were made in online discussions between the student and an unidentified person outside the area.
Classes are in session at Macomb High.
