Fire crews from the Hull-Kinderhook Volunteer Fire Department and New Canton are responding to a reported grass fire in East Hannibal, Ill.

Eyewitnesses have said the smoke is visible from miles away.

Hull volunteer fire chief Sam Reed had little information about the blaze when contacted at about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday.
