QUINCY, ILL. -- Hundreds gathered at the Quincy Community Theatre Saturday evening for the 2012 Miss Quincy Scholarship Pageant.

The crown for the 2012 Miss Quincy went to Megan Ervin. Also crowned were Celeste Niemann for Miss Gem City, Mackenzie Mahsman as Miss Quincy Outstanding Teen, Kenley Kurfman for Little Miss Quincy and Allison Helton as Miss Quincy Outstanding Pre-Teen.

Depending on the age group of the contestants, each of the girls competed in 5 areas--interview, swimsuit, talent, evening gown and on-stage question.

Miss Quincy among other winners from Saturday will compete at the state level in Marion, Illinois in June. The Miss Quincy Scholarship Program is the first contest on the road to the Miss America program.
