Friends have requested help for a Louisiana family whose home was gutted by fire Tuesday.

Five people escaped the burning home at 123 South 22nd Street near Sunset Park without injury.

Louisiana Fire Chief Mike Lesley said flames were coming from the back of the home when crews arrived. The blaze was knocked down quickly, but firefighters remained on the scene for three hours.

The Buffalo Township Fire Department also provided crews. Lesley said the cause of the fire was electrical.

The family needs sizes 8 in little boys, birth to three months in boys, 5 to 6 and 18 in women’s pants, extra-large men’s shirts, 12 and 13 in men’s shoes and 30/32 and 34/36 in men’s pants. Also needed are size 1 diapers and size 9 women’s shoes.

Items may be dropped off at 215 South Eighth Street in Louisiana.
