HAMILTON, ILL. -- Many times you hear people who live in mobile homes are more in danger of being injured in tornadoes because of the lack of a solid shelter.

But one Hamilton mobile home community owner wants to protect his tenants.

Dave Hunter is the owner of the Rivercross Manufactured Home Community on Hamilton's east side.

According to the Keokuk Daily Gate City, Hunter is installing 12-person concrete tornado shelters throughout his community.

He says the pre-made underground shelter offers a safe place for residents to go during severe storms.
