QUINCY, ILL. -- People across the Tri-States area lined up today for their chance at the $640 million Mega Millions jackpot.

"I would give my family a lot of money and build a couple of churches, a lot of respectful things basically," said Kenja Yearby.

Yearby isn't an avid lotto player, but when he heard how big the jackpot had gotten, he thought it was time to play...like many others.

"Just because it's so big, so if I won I would quit my job," Austin Jansen.

"No, just this time because it's $640 million now so that's why," said Shannon Hendricks.

Lotto fever keeps growing and growing.

If you win the jackpot and take the annuity option you will be paid over 26 years.
That breaks down to: $24 million a year, $2 million a month, $473 thousand a week and $67 thousand a day.
Numbers some players feel overwhelmed by.

"Just all the planning you would have to do," said Gayle Happekotte. "What am I going to do with this? You would need attorneys and financial planners."

But chances are you won't have to worry about that. According to the Mega Millions website, the chances of winning is one in 176 million. Still those odds aren't stopping players from planning, what if?

"I would quit my job," said Hendricks.

"Me and my girlfriend would just go buy an island," said Jansen.

"I would buy a couple cars, a lot of fast cars," said Yearby.

"I would definitely share it with my family, all of my family," said Happekotte.
